Clinical imaging software
on your own infrastructure
Challenges of cloud-dependent clinical imaging
External hosting introduces concerns around data control, vendor dependency, and connectivity requirements
Cloud platforms introduce third-party data access
When clinical images reside on external servers, patient data passes through infrastructure outside your direct control. Compliance obligations become shared with the hosting provider.
Subscription models can restrict data portability
Some cloud platforms make it difficult to extract patient records in standard formats. Vendor lock-in creates long-term dependency that complicates migration decisions.
Internet outages disrupt patient care workflows
Cloud-dependent tools become unavailable during connectivity interruptions. Clinical sessions cannot wait for network restoration when documentation is needed immediately.

Data remains within your network
Every patient photograph and clinical record is stored on your local infrastructure. No sensitive information is transmitted to external services during daily operation, and you maintain sole administrative access to the storage layer.
Your infrastructure, your rules
Every deployment decision remains under your direct control, from storage location to access policies to data retention schedules

Common questions about self-hosted deployment
Infrastructure requirements, management, and data ownership
Dermi Atlas runs on Docker and requires a machine with at least 8 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage. Supported operating systems include Windows 10/11, macOS 14 Sonoma or later (Apple Silicon), and Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12 on Linux. Atlas Manager handles the full deployment process.
Atlas Manager provides a guided desktop interface designed for practitioners without dedicated IT resources. The setup wizard handles dependency verification, Docker orchestration, certificate generation, and license validation through a step-by-step process.
Updates are delivered through Atlas Manager when an internet connection is available. All update resources are cryptographically verified before installation. The update process can be initiated at a convenient time and does not require continuous connectivity.
Atlas Manager provides a backup and restore workflow for migration. Create a complete system backup on the current machine, install Atlas Manager on the new machine, and restore the backup. Cross-platform compatibility allows migration between Windows, macOS, and Linux.
All patient data remains on your infrastructure regardless of subscription status. Data can be exported at any time in standard formats. There is no proprietary lock-in, and backup files remain accessible independently of the application.
