Clinical imaging software
on your own infrastructure
Infrastructure under your direct authority
Select a pillar to explore how on-premises deployment addresses clinical imaging requirements
Data remains within your network
Every patient photograph and clinical record is stored on your local infrastructure. No sensitive information is transmitted to external services during daily operation, and you maintain sole administrative access to where it is kept. Inside that boundary, entries stay live across every device on the practice network, so a change made in the exam room is already there at the front desk.
Your infrastructure, your rules. Every deployment decision remains under your direct control, from storage location to access policies to data retention schedules.

Common questions about on-premises deployment
Infrastructure requirements, management, and data ownership
No new hardware is needed for most practices. Dermi Atlas runs on Docker and requires a machine with at least 4 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage, specifications met by the computers most practices already own. Supported operating systems include Windows 10/11, macOS 14 Sonoma or later (Apple Silicon), and Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12 on Linux. Atlas Manager handles the full deployment process.
No. Atlas Manager provides a guided desktop interface designed for practitioners without dedicated IT resources. The setup wizard handles dependency verification, installation, certificate generation, and license validation through a step-by-step process. Assisted setup is also included at no charge for practices that prefer the deployment to be handled remotely by the Dermi team; the session is confirmed beforehand and runs on a computer that meets the system requirements.
Updates are delivered through Atlas Manager when an internet connection is available. All update resources are cryptographically verified before installation. The update process can be initiated at a convenient time and does not require continuous connectivity.
Atlas Manager provides a backup and restore workflow for migration. Create a complete system backup on the current machine, install Atlas Manager on the new machine, and restore the backup. Cross-platform compatibility allows migration between Windows, macOS, and Linux.
All patient data remains on your infrastructure regardless of subscription status. Data can be exported at any time in standard formats. There is no proprietary lock-in: records and images leave through the export paths in standard formats, and complete system backups can be restored on hardware the practice controls.
