How Atlas Vision processes and aligns clinical images
Atlas Vision is an on-premises computer vision service that runs alongside Dermi Atlas Professional. It detects matching anatomical landmarks across clinical images and computes spatial transformations to register them precisely. All processing occurs within your local network.
The registration algorithm compensates for variations in camera distance, angle, and patient positioning between sessions. Multi-scale support ensures both wide-angle overview images and close-up detail captures can be aligned accurately.
Original image positioning is preserved when alignment is applied. The transformation can be reversed at any time, restoring images to their initial placement without data loss.
No external services are involved. Atlas Vision runs as a local service container within your deployment. Patient images never leave your network during alignment processing.
