Contents, storage, and encryption

What it leaves out
The HTTPS certificate. The computer that restores a backup keeps or issues its own.
Incremental storage
After the first backup, each one copies only the images added or changed since.

Backups are not encrypted. Keep exported backups on an encrypted drive.

Local administration, behind a passphrase
An admin passphrase set when installation completes protects the Administration area, the deployment-wide settings, and the actions that cannot be undone. It never leaves the practice's computer.
User Accounts
The team as the deployment mirrors it, with Disable and Enable for any member. Patient records and the activity log are kept.
Sync Now
Checks in with the Dermi Portal immediately, so a membership change applies without waiting for the next scheduled check-in.
Administration Activity
Every sign-in and administrative action on the deployment, newest first. An operator name entered at unlock is recorded on Atlas Manager actions.
Deployment-wide settings
Audit logging, the data deletion policy, and the retention period for deleted records, applied to the whole deployment.
Member List Resync
Receives the member list from the Dermi Portal again when Dermi support asks for it. Accounts and patient records are not changed.
Deployment Purge
Permanently deletes every patient record and image while keeping accounts, the license, and settings. The passphrase and a typed confirmation are required.

Common questions about deploying and managing Dermi Atlas Professional.
No. The installer checks the computer, activates the license, and installs Atlas step by step. Setup is also done for you at no charge: the Dermi team confirms the details beforehand and completes the installation with you over a remote session, on a computer that meets the system requirements.
The Requirements step checks for Docker before anything is installed. It offers to download Docker Desktop, or to start Docker Desktop when it is installed but not running, and installation continues as soon as Docker is running.
Weekly for a practice that captures images daily, and before a large import. Each backup after the first copies only the images added or changed since, so frequent backups stay small. Atlas Manager also offers a backup before every Atlas update and before an uninstall.
Atlas Manager is included with Dermi Atlas Professional. It downloads from the Dermi Portal once the 30-day free trial or the subscription has started, with installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and earlier releases stay available there.
