Deploying Dermi Atlas Professional

Overview

This article describes how to deploy Dermi Atlas Professional using the Dermi Atlas Manager deployment wizard.

Before proceeding, ensure the following have been completed:

• Installed Dermi Atlas Manager
• Installed and Configured Docker
• Validated the license key in Dermi Atlas Manager

Pre-deployment Checklist

Ensure the following requirements are met before starting the installation:

• Dermi Atlas Manager installed and running (Required)
• License key validated (Required)
• Internet connection active (Required)
• Docker installed and running (Required)
• Administrator privileges (Required)

Deployment Wizard Walkthrough

The Dermi Atlas Manager deployment wizard consists of five automated steps.

Step 1: License

Dermi Atlas Manager verifies the license key validity and subscription status. If a key has not been entered yet, enter the license key, accept the End User License Agreement, and select Activate License. Once the license is validated, the wizard advances to the Requirements step automatically.

Step 2: Requirements

The system automatically checks for:

• Internet Connection
• Atlas Manager Version
• Docker installation and status
• System Memory (Min 4GB)
• Disk Space (Min 20GB)

Each requirement will show a green checkmark if met. If Docker is not detected, ensure Docker Desktop is running. Once all checks pass, click Continue.

Step 3: Installation Options

Choose the installation type:

• Fresh Installation: Select this for new deployments. It downloads the latest version of Dermi Atlas Professional.
• Restore Backup: Select this to restore a previous deployment from a backup file (useful for migrations or reinstallations).

For new setups, select Fresh Installation, accept the agreement, then click Start Installation.

Step 4: Installation Progress

Dermi Atlas Manager will now:

1. Download Dermi Atlas Professional container images.
2. Configure the Docker environment.
3. Setup the database and storage.
4. Generate SSL certificates.

Note: This process typically takes 5 to 10 minutes. Do not close Dermi Atlas Manager or restart the host computer.

Step 5: Complete

Upon success, a completion screen appears. Click Go to Atlas Manager to view the Atlas Status page.

Verifying Deployment Success

The Atlas Status page displays the health of the system:

• Atlas Control: Shows "Running".
• Container Status: shows All containers running. Each service displays a healthy indicator.
• Atlas Access: Displays the HTTP and HTTPS URLs.

Accessing Dermi Atlas Professional

To access the application:

1. In Dermi Atlas Manager, look at the Atlas Access section.
2. Click Open App or copy the URL into a web browser on the host computer.

Default URLs:

HTTP: http://[your-local-ip]:15015
HTTPS: https://[your-local-ip]:15045

Note: Port numbers may vary if conflicts were detected during setup.

HTTP vs HTTPS Access

• HTTP: Works immediately for testing on local networks.
• HTTPS: Recommended for production. Requires installing the SSL certificate on client devices. See SSL Certificate Setup for HTTPS Access.

Verifying Network Access

To test access from another device (e.g., an iPad):

1. Connect the device to the same Wi-Fi/network.
2. Enter the HTTP URL shown in Dermi Atlas Manager into the device's browser.
3. The login page is displayed.
