Installing Dermi Atlas Manager on Windows

System Requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
• Administrator privileges

Installation Steps

Download the Windows installer from the download page in the Installing Dermi Atlas Manager guide in the Dermi Portal, then complete the following steps.

1. Locate the downloaded .msi installer file.
2. Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
3. SmartScreen Warning: If Windows Defender SmartScreen displays a warning ("Windows protected your PC"), click More info and then Run anyway. This warning appears because the application is new and building reputation.
4. Accept the End-User License Agreement when prompted.
5. Click Install.
6. Wait for the installation to complete and click Finish.
7. The installer adds a Dermi Atlas Manager entry to the Start Menu. To add a desktop shortcut, locate that entry in the Start Menu and drag it to the desktop, or right-click it and create a shortcut manually.

Windows Firewall

During the first launch, Windows Firewall may display a prompt to allow Dermi Atlas Manager to communicate on the network.

Action: Select Allow access for both Private and Public networks.

Allowing this prompt lets Dermi Atlas Manager perform local network communication and license verification, and lets the Dermi Atlas Professional instance it deploys (served through the Docker gateway) be reachable from other devices on the local network. A separate Docker Desktop firewall prompt may also appear and should be allowed.

Troubleshooting

"Windows protected your PC" Message

This is a standard SmartScreen warning for new applications. Click More info => Run anyway to proceed.
