No Updates Found
Symptom: Dermi Atlas Manager reports that no updates are available, even though a newer version exists.
Solutions:
- An internet connection is required to check for updates. A 2-second connectivity check is performed.
- The upgrade path may require intermediate versions. Not all versions can be upgraded directly to the latest release.
- Ensure that
releases.dermi.ai on port 443 is not blocked by a firewall. - Dermi Atlas Manager itself may need to be updated. A compatible version range is enforced between the manager and the system.
Update Download Fails
Symptom: The update download does not complete or fails with a verification error.
Solutions:
- A minimum of 20 GB free disk space is required for updates.
- A stable wired connection is recommended. VPN connections should be disabled during the download.
- A "Downloaded content failed signature verification" error indicates a corrupted download. Retrying the download typically resolves this issue.
- A valid license is required for downloading updates. For license issues, see Troubleshooting Licensing and Subscription Issues.
Update Fails During Installation
Symptom: The update fails after the download has completed, during the installation phase.
Solutions:
- A pre-update backup can be restored through Dermi Atlas Manager using the Restore Backup option in the Dermi Atlas Manager installation wizard.
- If a "Failed to clean up resources" error appears, Docker Desktop should be restarted before retrying.
- The entire update can be retried after addressing the root cause of the failure.
System Requirements Not Met
Symptom: A pre-update validation check reports that system requirements are not met.
Solutions:
- Docker version 28.0.0 or later is required. The current version can be checked with the following command:
- A minimum of 4 GB memory must be allocated to Docker (Settings > Resources > Memory).
- A minimum of 20 GB free disk space is required.
System in Inconsistent State After Failed Update
Symptom: The system is in a broken or inconsistent state after a failed update.
Solutions:
- Restoring from a backup through Dermi Atlas Manager is the safest recovery option.
- If the failure was transient, retrying the update may resolve the issue.
- A full cleanup and reinstall can be performed as a last resort. Note: this removes all data.
