Installing SSL Certificates on macOS

Download the certificate from the SSL Certificate card in Dermi Atlas Manager first, as described in SSL Certificate Setup for HTTPS Access. The file is named dermi-atlas-professional.crt by default.

Installing the Certificate

1. Double-click dermi-atlas-professional.crt. Keychain Access opens. When asked for a keychain, choose System so that every account on the Mac trusts Atlas.
2. In Keychain Access, find the certificate named dermi-atlas.local, the Common Name shown on the SSL Certificate card, and double-click it.
3. Expand Trust and set When using this certificate to Always Trust.
4. Close the window and enter the administrator password to save the change.
5. Restart the browser.

The same result from Terminal, with the path of the downloaded file:

sudo security add-trusted-cert -d -r trustRoot -k /Library/Keychains/System.keychain ~/Downloads/dermi-atlas-professional.crt

Checking the Connection

Open the HTTPS address shown on the Atlas Access card, for example https://192.168.1.100:15045. The page loads without a certificate warning.

Removing a Previous Certificate

When Atlas has created a new certificate, open Keychain Access, find the dermi-atlas.local entry whose expiration date differs from Valid Until on the SSL Certificate card, and delete it.
