Compose clinical photographs and comparisons into finished images in Dermi Atlas, with framing presets, themes, date labels, practice branding, and a declared export purpose.
Custom Export turns a photograph or a comparison into a finished image: a before and after for a consult summary, a patient handout with the visit dates on it, or a square case post carrying the practice logo. The export drawer shows a live preview of exactly what will be saved, and saving writes a new file. The photographs, annotations, and comparison arrangements on the record are left as they are.
Only Clinician accounts can export images.
Export Options sits in the More Options menu of the canvas toolbar on these surfaces:

What is inside the frame is what is saved. Dragging pans the content, the scroll wheel or a pinch scales it, and a double tap zooms in or returns to the fitted layout. Three actions in the Layout section undo that work:
The Options panel holds seven sections: Audit, Frame, Layout, Annotations, Date Labels, Branding, and Output.
The browser remembers the export purpose, the aspect preset, the file format, the output size, the Atlas badge, the date label choice, and the practice logo with its position and size. Everything else, including the layout and the annotation choice, returns to its default each time the drawer opens.
The Audit section holds one required field, Export Purpose:
The purpose is recorded with the export. Until one is selected, the save button stays disabled.
Aspect Ratio sets the shape of the frame. A comparison offers 1:1 Post, 4:5 Portrait, 9:16 Story, and 16:9 Wide. A single image adds Original, which keeps the photograph's own proportions. Changing the preset refits the content to the new frame.
Theme sets the frame color, which also sets the style of the date labels and the badge: Light, Dark, or Gray.
For a comparison, Mode selects Split or Overlay, regardless of the surface the export was opened from. Placement arranges a split as Vertical, Horizontal, or Grid. Content Scale sizes the content from 25 to 1000 percent of the fitted layout. Placement, Content Scale, and Match Arranged View apply to split compositions and stay disabled in overlay.
Annotation visibility is chosen per export and does not change the annotations on the record. A comparison offers the same three choices as the PDF export options:
A single image offers a Show Annotations toggle instead. An injection-unit map drawn on a baseline photograph, for example, can stay on the record while a patient handout is exported from the same photograph without it.

Show Date Labels stamps each image with its date. Label Style offers:
Position places the labels along the top or the bottom of the frame.
Add Practice Logo accepts a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file. Position places it in any corner, and Logo Size offers S, M, and L, scaled to the frame. The Atlas Badge toggle adds a small Dermi Atlas mark; in the Atlas Cloud Demo the badge is always on.
File Name takes up to 80 characters; a cleared field falls back to a generated name. Format offers JPEG or PNG. Size offers Standard or High:
The Original preset saves at the photograph's own size, and very large photographs are reduced to the maximum export size.
The footer shows the file name and resolution beside Save JPEG or Save PNG, which becomes available once a purpose is selected and the preview has finished loading.

Quick Export saves a comparison as it is arranged on screen, in one step, without opening the export drawer. The file is a JPEG on a square frame at 2160 x 2160:
Quick Export does not ask for a purpose. It is recorded as clinical documentation and marked as a quick export.

When an image filter is active on the canvas, Export Options and Quick Export both save the images with the filter applied and add a label naming it, such as "Erythema filter". The label is centered on the edge opposite the date labels, or on the top edge when date labels are off, so on a Quick Export it sits along the top.
A composed export carries none of the camera metadata of the original photograph. It holds only what the preview showed: the images, the theme, the date labels, the filter label, the logo, and the badge. The same photograph can be exported as a clean square post and again as an annotated wide frame, and neither changes the record.
When the deployment records comprehensive activity (the default audit logging level), each export adds an entry to the activity log with its purpose, the images, and the output settings. Exports and image downloads share the Download & Export filter in the Activity Logs view.
Recorded clinical image consent covers clinical documentation. Any further authorization that marketing use requires is obtained by the practice.
