Create lesion records on overview photographs in Dermi Atlas, link a lesion's marks and dermoscopy across visits, record its details, and delete a record.
A lesion record belongs to the patient rather than to a single visit. The clinician creates it on an overview photograph, records the lesion's site, size, management decision, and status on it, and links to it the dermoscopy close-ups taken at each visit. The same records appear in Zone Review, opened from a zone in the Image Pool, and in Review on the Full Body Photography page.
Zone Review and Review both place two panels beside the canvas: Lesions, the patient's lesion records, and Lesion Details, the record selected in that list. On a narrower screen, both open from buttons below the canvas.
Each row in Lesions shows the lesion label, its status, a count of linked dermoscopy images, and where the lesion is marked: the zone or pose whose overview photograph carries its mark, or "Not placed" for an active lesion without a mark there.
Marks are placed on overview photographs only; a dermoscopy close-up is linked to a lesion instead.
When the patient has no active lesion that is still unmarked on this photograph, the mark creates the next record directly and opens it in Lesion Details. Records are labeled in sequence (L1, L2, and so on), and the anatomical site is prefilled from the zone designation or the pose.
Otherwise, a Mark a lesion chooser opens, listing New lesion and the active lesions not yet marked on this photograph. New lesion creates the next record; choosing an existing lesion attaches the mark to it.
Each follow-up visit produces its own zone or session with its own photographs. The lesion keeps one record, and the clinician links the new photographs to it:
Every mark and every link is made by a clinician; Atlas does not match lesions between photographs or across visits.
To remove a link, open the options control on the linked close-up and select Unlink from Lesion. The image stays in place as a dermoscopy image of its zone or pose.

Removed and Resolved record a clinical outcome and keep the lesion in the patient's history. Deleting is for a record that should not exist, such as one created by mistake. Only Clinician accounts can delete a lesion.
The lesion leaves the list. Its marks and dermoscopy links stay on their images without a lesion attached, and its label is not given to a new lesion. Until the retention period ends, a Clinician account can restore it from the Deleted Items drawer on the Patient Details page. Where the practice deletes records permanently, the confirmation asks for PERMANENTLY DELETE LESION instead, and the lesion cannot be recovered.
