Managing Multiple User Accounts in Dermi Atlas Professional

Overview

Dermi Atlas Professional supports multiple independent user accounts within a single deployment. This allows different practitioners or staff members to use the system on their own devices while maintaining data separation.

Adding New Users

The process for adding additional users is the same as creating the first account:

1. The new user navigates to the Dermi Atlas Professional URL.
2. They click Sign up (or Create Account on the registration page).
3. They enter their email address.
4. They complete verification (via Email or Dermi Atlas Manager).
5. They define their own username and password.

Account Isolation

Each account in Dermi Atlas Professional is completely independent:

• Patient Data: Users cannot access each other's patient data or Image Pools.
• Preferences: Settings are specific to each user.
• Logs: Activity logs are maintained separately.
• Security: Two-factor authentication is configured per account.

This design ensures that multiple providers in a shared clinic can maintain separate patient records on the same infrastructure.

Managing Verification Links

If multiple users are creating accounts simultaneously, the administrator can manage verifications via Dermi Atlas Manager:

1. Open Dermi Atlas Manager on the host computer.
2. Click the shield icon (Verifications) in the top right corner. The Verifications drawer opens.
3. The panel displays all pending links.
4. Each card shows a type badge (for example Registration) that distinguishes registration links from password, email, 2FA, and account-deletion links, alongside the email address entered during registration and an expiry time. Each card also provides a copy icon and an Open Link button. Match both the Registration badge and the email to identify the correct link.
5. Identify the correct link for the user and provide it to them (or have them check their email).

Email Verification Considerations

When registration is completed via a Dermi Atlas Manager verification link rather than the email link, email verification is bypassed. The account will not receive future notifications or verification links via email; subsequent verification links will appear only in Dermi Atlas Manager. To verify the email address later, open Account settings and, under Security & Authentication, select Request Change on the Email Address card. The generated link appears in Dermi Atlas Manager; open it, re-enter the current email address, and, with the host connected to the internet, a confirmation message is sent to that address. Click the link in that message to complete verification.

This setup is appropriate when email-based notifications are intentionally avoided. In most cases, completing the initial registration via the email link is recommended. For full details, see Creating Your First Dermi Atlas Professional Account.
